Our classic minis
If you're looking for classic car rental, there's no better place than the Isle of Man, and quite frankly no better car to explore the Island as a 'driver's paradise' than a classic Mini, but we would say that!
We're passionate about classic Minis and it shows in our small but perfectly formed fleet of minis.
The Blue Mini
This genuine 1967 Mark 1 is the epitome of the driving experience intended by the vehicle’s original designer, Sir Alec Issigonis. The vehicle, however, runs on minilites and modern Yokhama tyres and carries an MG metro power plant, effectively producing ride and handling characteristics similar to a late Cooper S of the period by use of the later, slightly more sophisticated, A plus series power plant. The vehicle has been meticulously bare shell stripped and rebuilt with immaculate paint work and a modern Rover interior for driving comfort. The vehicle therefore has all the characteristics of the original Mark 1 mini whilst providing a nippy and enjoyable ride.
The Green Mini
This open classic was another limited edition produced by Rover in the early 1990s. Its chief two characteristics were its British Racing Green colour scheme and full length webasto opening roof. This of course provides the ideal open top experience of driving a mini without the problems brought on by a convertible. When the rain comes you just press a button rather than run for cover as you would do with a convertible. The power plant packs a surprising punch with the standard Rover 1275 engine however this has been altered to remove the single point injection and replace it with carburettors giving it a much more responsive and consistent ride. The vehicle has been kept in standard livery and both interior and exterior reflect the factory specification. The original late mini open top experience.
The Burgundy Mini
As part of British Leyland’s relentless drive to vary their marketing products, one special edition mini was put together for the 30th anniversary of the commencement of production, in 1989. A limited number of vehicles were produced mainly in burgundy and white. These vehicles have superior interiors with half leather seats and are now relatively sought after. This particular example has been somewhat upgraded having been previously owned by a motor sport professional and has a comfortable and responsive set of ride and handling characteristics beyond what otherwise might be expected of a Rover A series 998cc engine. All original features have been retained and the vehicle is virtually standard as the anniversary mini 30 was intended to be in terms of interior and exterior.
Rates
Our daily rates include day of arrival and day of departure but where a vehicle is collected after noon on the day of arrival and returned before noon on the day of departure, one days charge will be remitted in our absolute discretion.

Vehicles are delivered with full fuel tanks and customer will be charged with any top-up to a full tank required on vehicle return.
Mini Samplers
Subject to availability you may want to arrange for a party to take several vehicles at once or to have different Minis daily over a long weekend. Please ask us about our Mini sampler package.
Payment – The Simple Version

When you hire a car from any of the mainstream providers you have to make significant payments. Our classic cars are even more difficult to replace quickly so you will appreciate that we have to ask you for suitable security.
When you arrive we require a security deposit of £250. This will be returned to you at the end of the hire if you make full payment by other means, namely cash or cheque. We will only hold onto your security deposit and require you to pay your rental charges in addition if, for example, you create a spillage in the vehicle which would not be covered by insurance and which we have to clean. Please see our detailed contract terms for the precise circumstances in which we are entitled to withhold your security deposit. In normal circumstances and where the vehicle is returned in good order we would take your payment from the security deposit and return the credit balance to you or alternatively you can simply pay us and we will return your security deposit in full. Due to the excessive costs imposed by suppliers we regret that we can no longer accept credit or debit cards.
At the end of the hire, if there are no mishaps, we take the hire charges and return your deposit.

Facilities
All our vehicles are comfortable rather than stripped out. All have 12v facilities for your sat nav and phone etc. We provide, free of charge, a guide containing hints and tips and suggested runs and interesting destinations to make your mini adventure a 'mix and match' that suits you. All our vehicles and covered for recovery and we will do our best to get you back on the road whenever we can in the unlikely event of breakdown.
